Additional Professional DevelopmentSIATech is passionate about professional development. The school does not limit staff to internal trainings alone. SIATech offers extraordinary opportunities for its staff to gain enrichment from professional development programs external to SIATech.
SIATech Leaders Attended Harvard One example is the attendance of seven SIATech leaders to The Principals’ Center Summer Institute at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Larrie Hall, Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Support Services, was an instrumental advocate of SIATech’s participation. According to Dr. Hall, “This educational experience supports SIATech’s mission ‘Real Learning for Real Life™’ and reminds our leaders to think of themselves as continuous learners.” Executive Director of Educational Services Lin Miller commented about the program’s profound impact: “When our principals are energized, our teachers are energized, our students are energized.” SIATech looks forward to sending additional leaders to the program in the future.
